Injury Illness and Prevention Program
It is the policy of Universal Services of America and its subsidiaries Universal Protection Services, Universal Building Maintenance, Universal Protection Security Systems, Universal Fire/Life Safety Services and Thrive Technologies (hereinafter, collectively referred to as “USA”) to work continually toward improving our safety expectations, process and procedures with the goal of evolving our safety culture.
The USA Injury and Illness Prevention Program (“IIPP”) sets the expectations for safety across all of USA’s service lines. USA’s management and our Service Line operations teams will continue to be guided and motivated by this policy, and with the cooperation of all employees, will actively pursue a safer working environment.
Bloodborne Pathogen Program
USA is committed to addressing issues related to bloodborne pathogens, such as Human Immunodeficiency (HIV), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) in order to protect employees, as well as protect the rights of individuals who may have a bloodborne infectious disease.
The purpose of the department's Bloodborne Pathogen Policy (BPP) and Exposure Control Plan (ECP) is to minimize the risk of transmission of bloodborne pathogens, as well as, minimize the risk to other environmental hazards.
Heat Illness Prevention Plan
Universal Services of America complies with all requirements of OSHA (Federal and specific state regulations in all states in which we conduct operations) regarding the prevention of Heat Illness. This Heat Illness Prevention Policy is incorporated into the site Post Orders for review and availability/access by all employees assigned to this post location. It is reviewed upon initial assignment to this post by the Field Manager as part of the site training process.
